The Jake's Experience

At Jake's we believe ice cream is not just a dessert, but an experience, a remembrance, and, of course, a sweet indulgence. This is ice cream that you remember making with your grandmother on the front porch on a lazy, sticky summer day. This is sorbet that is so ripe and delicious you'll swear you're eating the fresh, juicy berries themselves. You know you're welcome even before the friendly people behind the counter say hello. You can just feel it.

There's an unmistakable home away from home feeling in every one of our stores. Big overstuffed chairs and couches, great music, cool local art all with that comfortable lived-in look. Our counter staff, who hilariously refer to themselves as Scoop Monkeys, will be happy to take you on a personal taste tour, allowing you to sample any flavor that tempts you. There's bound to be at least one that will make your heart race and your tummy beg for a whole scoop (or two). What will it be?

Nutter Nanner Elvis? Devyn's Animal Cracker? Or how about some Diesel Fuel? Our chicken salad is made with juicy breast meat, Granny Smith apples, honey, yogurt and pecans. Our grilled cheese (Keith's favorite) is made with Swiss, havarti, and cheddar and...sauteed mushrooms, fresh basil and roma tomatoes. And our menu wouldn't be complete without a good old-fashioned BLT. Ours is a wonderful Southern surprise, though. Our award-winning Fried Green Tomato BLT is served on tradional wheat toast, but with our own homemade pimento cheese and pepper pear relish. Our soups are homemade and hearty and our salads...let's just say you won't be disappointed.
